"Lord Vader." Palpatine turned his attention to his apprentice. He was quiet for a moment as he felt the Force around him, looking for any disturbances but found nothing but Vader's faint curiosity about what he was called here for. Palpatine always had a reason for when he sent for Vader, even if that reason wasn't always apparent at the time.
"Leave us," he said with a dismissive wave at Mas Amedda who couldn't help but look slightly surprised. Normally he was present during any audience but he bowed and Palpatine waited for him to leave the room before speaking once more.
"Rise, Lord Vader," he said in a raspy voice as he leaned back on his throne. "I have a task of the utmost importance for you which will require you use all I have taught you," he said seriously. And this time, he wasn't talking about keeping Krennic occupied so he didn't have to deal with him.
